Project Overview
Located at Market and Columbus Streets in the heart of Virginia Beach Town Center, this new 12-story, approximately 93,000-square-foot hotel brings a modern hospitality destination to one of the city’s most active mixed-use districts. Positioned adjacent to Central Park and Zeiders American Dream Theater, the hotel places guests within walking distance of Town Center’s restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and business community.
The constrained urban site required the typical hotel program to go vertical, creating a compact footprint while accommodating the full range of guest and operational spaces. A second-floor amenity level overlooks Town Center and provides an elevated gathering space connecting guests to the activity of the surrounding district.
Expected to open in fall 2026, the hotel will serve both business and leisure travelers, offering a centrally located stay while maintaining convenient access to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
Engineering Highlights
The building consists of two-way post-tensioned concrete flat plate slabs supported by reinforced concrete columns. Lateral loads are resisted by reinforced concrete shear walls located at the stair and elevator cores. The building is supported on
grade beams and pile caps founded on driven precast concrete piles.
BSG’s founder served as the Structural Engineer of Record during previous professional employment.
