Mainspring Recovery Treatment Facility
Project Overview
The renovation of a historic property in downtown Lynchburg transformed the existing building into a new addiction treatment facility for Mainspring Recovery. The 111-bed facility provides separate residential areas for men and women and includes spaces designed to support treatment and recovery, including group and individual counseling rooms, dining areas, fitness spaces, and comfortable gathering areas.
Structural services supported the adaptive reuse of the historic building and the architectural modifications required for its new use. The scope included evaluation and design of structural support for new operable partitions at multiple locations, allowing spaces within the facility to remain flexible and adaptable to different treatment and program needs.
BSG’s founder served as the Structural Engineer of Record during previous professional employment.
